The Feltham and Heston Conservatives Association recently hosted a vibrant Diwali fundraising event, bringing together the local community in a spirit of celebration, unity, and tradition. The evening was graced by distinguished guests, including James Sunderland, former MP for Bracknell, and Ahmereen Reza OBE, Vice President of the Conservative Party's National Convention.
Guests were treated to a colourful cultural dance programme that highlighted the richness of Indian heritage, followed by a spread of delicious traditional Indian cuisine, enjoyed by all in attendance. The event also featured a special tribute to Margaret Thatcher, marking 100 years since her birth. A commemorative book auction was held in her memory, reflecting her enduring legacy and inspiring leadership.
Conservative Councillor Allan Joseph praised the gathering as a shining example of unity in diversity and a reflection of Conservative values in action.
The evening was well attended by local Conservative officers team, members, supporters, and generous donors. More than just a fundraiser, the event served as a platform to connect with the diverse local community and celebrate the values of Diwali — light, hope, and togetherness.
